About the job Global Master Data Consultant ERP / SAP Master Data Consultant
Location: Remote (onshore, nearshore, and offshore candidates considered)
Work Hours: Must overlap at least 4-6 hours with U.S. CST or EST
Assignment Length: 6 months (extension likely)
Language Requirement: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
This role supports multiple large-scale global transformation initiatives focused on ERP and SAP data conversion, migration, and ongoing master data governance. You will work closely with senior data specialists to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of enterprise data across several business domains.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong business acumen, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently in a complex global environment.

- Direct and Indirect Materials
- Hierarchies (Customer and Product)
- Prepare and validate data for system conversion and migration
- Lead and support data cleansing and harmonization efforts
- Coordinate cross-functional teams involved in data preparation
- Perform SAP S/4 value mapping and data construction
- Align domain-level data requirements and mappings
- Create and execute test data
- Investigate issues and drive resolution
- Support change management and training activities
- Gather and document functional requirements
- Align business requirements with global governance standards
- Supervise testing activities and validate results
- Build and manage master data records
- Test and support governance tools and workflows
- Support cut-over activities and post-go-live hypercare
- Maintain task updates and project tracking tools
- Monitor dependencies and address issues proactively
- Keep data documentation current and accurate
- Support senior consultants with administrative and technical deliverables
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in master data management
- Strong understanding of master and transactional data structures
- Experience with SAP MDG workflows and governance design
- Data quality rule design and testing experience
- SAP Fiori UI experience preferred
- Business-focused candidates preferred over purely technical profiles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented while maintaining strategic perspective
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience working across regions and cultures
- Ability to travel up to 25% internationally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
