Overview of the Role

As a Service Now Technical Lead at HCLTech, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our global Service Now platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our business. This role is central to our IT transformation journey, combining technical leadership with hands‑on project delivery to drive operational efficiency and innovation. You will collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain scalable solutions that support the company’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution and delivery of IT projects, upholding robust engineering standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of the global Service Now platform, leveraging Dev Ops and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to craft scalable and future‑ready technical solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and proof‑of‑concepts (PoCs), translating business requirements into detailed technical designs and solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing subject matter expertise to internal business partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure comprehensive technical documentation and effective communication across cross‑functional, globally distributed teams.
  • Manage application design processes, prioritise development efforts, and support Agile/Scrum‑based project delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment
Skill Requirements
  • Higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent practical experience or relevant technical training will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with the Service Now platform, with demonstrated expertise in the HR module.
  • Strong proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with geographically dispersed teams (across Mexico, US, EU, and Asia).
  • Proven ability to manage application design, prioritise multiple tasks, and execute within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Comfortable and effective in hybrid work environments with limited face‑to‑face collaboration.
Other Requirements
  • Service Now certification(s) such as Certified System Administrator or Certified Implementation Specialist.
  • Background in ITIL processes or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Prior experience in a multinational corporate environment.
