SummaryThe Product Development PMO team seeks an organized, detail‑oriented Agile Coach with Project Management skills. In a maturing agile organization focused on Scrum (with teams moving toward Kanban and exploring SAFe), you will collaborate with Software Development Management to manage and status key software development projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and scope. You will also work closely with Scrum teams, leading them as a Scrum Master.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in the management of roadmaps, project scopes, and objectives while collaborating with Product Owner(s), Solution Analyst(s), and Development Manager(s).
- Manage projects that typically require simple to moderately complex changes to standard processes and plans.
- Collaborate, negotiate, and manage issues to resolution; conduct conflict management with internal stakeholders as requirements arise, delivery issues occur, and scope changes are requested.
- Gather project sizing information from appropriate teams and ensure all projects are properly and accurately estimated and timely billed.
- Make decisions within established processes and methodologies; with some oversight, recommend outside of established guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and concisely to conduct Daily Scrum meetings; guide and develop clear Sprint standards while keeping the team engaged and on task.
- Act as responsible for enacting Scrum values and practices. Provide updates on the team's performance, remove impediments, facilitate Grooming/Refinement, Sprint Planning, Demos, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand‑up meetings for assigned teams.
- Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation; engage team with appropriate commits through story selection and task definition; encourage discussion and conflict resolution.
- Initiate, build, and maintain positive relationships with Product Owners, IT, and Services to facilitate effective project completion.
- Partner with development leads or appropriate team members for capacity planning and resource allocation in Agile tools; shield the team(s) from distractions and external interference.
- Coach teams to break down business requirements into stories and tasks; promote continuous improvement of structure, processes and tooling to deliver increased value.
- Champion accountability within and outside the team; demonstrate a good understanding of business and technical terms.
- Use strong analytical and problem‑resolution skills to identify difficult sources of impediments.
- Gather Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned scrum teams and use them to drive change and improvement.
- Advocate and lead full Product Development team procedures and processes; document and communicate as needed.
- Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- 5 years experience as Agile Coach utilizing Scrum/Scrumban/Kanban/SAFe.
- Certified Scrum Master and other Agile project management certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI‑ACP).
- Proven work experience in project management and/or software development.
- Track record in leading complex product development or major concept projects involving multiple modules.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational and analytical skills, including attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to manage conflicts and work with multiple teams.
- Excellent time‑management and follow‑up skills.
- Issue resolution – advanced negotiation and conflict‑management skills to resolve issues within and external to the team.
- Job complexity – handle moderate scope problems requiring analysis of multiple factors and use judgment within defined procedures.
- Build productive internal and external working relationships.
- Typically minimum 6 years relevant experience.
- 5 years experience in Project Management within a Software Development organization.
