SCM Administrator – Clear Case/Clear Quest & Web Sphere (Perl/Python)

We are looking for an experienced Clear Case / Clear Quest Administrator with strong Perl scripting skills. In this role, you will maintain and update critical software configuration management tools (Clear Case, Clear Quest, and Web Sphere Application Server), ensuring stability and performance across Windows and UNIX environments.

• Perform regular updates and release upgrades of Clear Case, Clear Quest, and Web Sphere Application Server.
• Administer and maintain Clear Case and Clear Quest environments on both Windows and UNIX platforms.
• Maintain and adapt Perl scripts supporting build processes and automation workflows.
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform configuration changes, and ensure tool availability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including IBM support) for issue resolution.
• Participate in knowledge transfer and tandem work with internal staff to ensure long-term stability.
• Support potential migration initiatives and integration with Git-based environments (Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops).

• 5+ years of experience in system administration or build engineering.
• Proven experience in Clear Case and Clear Quest administration.
• Solid understanding of Web Sphere Application Server installation and maintenance.
• Strong Perl scripting skills (ability to read, maintain, and debug existing scripts).
• Experience working with Windows Server and UNIX/Linux systems.
• Good communication skills in German (B2 or higher) and English.
• Team-oriented mindset with ability to work independently and proactively.
