ABOUT THE ROLE
Exceptional opportunities are available for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Midwife to work across the Postnatal and Birth Unit at a prestigious private hospital in Sydney. You can join on a full‑time or part‑time basis.
As an experienced Midwife, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, advanced expertise in postnatal care and birth suite practice, and a genuine passion for delivering high‑quality, woman‑centred care. Success in this role requires a sincere dedication to supporting women and their families throughout all stages of pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal recovery.
You will join a well‑established 43‑bed postnatal, antenatal, and gynaecology ward, complemented by seven modern birthing suite rooms. The service is further supported by a seven‑bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for mothers and newborns.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife;
- Minimum of three years' relevant post‑registration qualifications;
- Demonstrated experience working in the provision of antenatal and post‑natal midwifery services;
- Knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives using research principles to support evidence‑based practice, including the development of policies and guidelines;
- Ability to work effectively in a supportive team;
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient‑centred care;
- Having a professional manner when working with complex situations;
- Advanced communication skills as part of a multi‑disciplinary team with a willingness to learn new skills;
- Flexibility to work a seven‑day roster, including night duty;
- IBCLC (lactation) certificate or working towards (desirable);
- Experience in Private Health Care (desirable).

$39.09 – $54.89 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITYThe hospital, located in Sydney’s North West, is a busy 277‑bed high‑acuity facility. The Women’s Health Unit is a 43‑bed post/antenatal/gynaecology ward with 7 birthing suite rooms. Supporting this service is a 7‑bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery.
