We’re looking for a motivated Tax Manager to own operational processes and controls for securities taxes in the US market. You'll be responsible for executing on withholding and reporting obligations and performing controls across the operational tax lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing- Owning QI/QDD lifecycle, ensuring compliance across reference data, withholding, payment, and reporting
- Overseeing payment and reporting obligations associated with transaction taxes and stamp duty
- Integrating control frameworks and monitoring market making exemptions
- Leading relief at source and reclaim of firm positions
- Driving customer tax reclaims offerings and relief at source initiatives, such as FASTER
- Supporting information reporting and associated controls related to ISAs, FATCA, and CRS
- 4+ years of experience in a relevant securities tax operations role for the US market within an established financial institution
- Fluency in English
- Expertise in securities operational tax, transaction lifecycle, and dividend withholding tax requirements
- Solid knowledge of the US QI/QDD regime
- Experience managing financial transaction taxes
- Experience with in a custody environment, with knowledge of settlements and corporate actions
- A background implementing controls and managing deadlines
- Impeccable communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience improving and enhancing controls and governance
