Imagine being part of our HVDC Protection Team, where you will play a crucial role in testing and verifying the hardware and software for our cutting‑edge HVDC projects at our Test Center (about a year in Germany, Forchheim). You will ensure proper functionality and high quality of our HVDC plants worldwide during the commissioning phase onsite (and again tested – site).

Collaborating closely with project management, engineering, and end customers, you will provide tailored solutions that leverage the latest innovations in HVDC technology.

• You will actively advance the Energy Transition by successfully completing HVDC projects alongside our customers.
• As part of a project team in Integration Testing, you will conduct functional tests of the control & protection hardware and software in our test centers.
• You will independently trace bugs and support our software engineering team in debugging efforts.
• Execute and document the functional performance tests (FPT) and dynamic performance tests (DPT) of the HVDC system, including customer acceptance tests.
• Oversee the commissioning of the measuring system, DC protection system, and transient fault recorder for our HVDC projects, working with a highly motivated team at customer sites worldwide.
• Support our commissioning management in quality, risk, and claim management while actively participating in our improvement programs.

• A completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Good knowledge in project planning and testing using MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC, and grid protection systems.
• Experience in electrical engineering and commissioning of electrical power stations or HVDC systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with current and voltage measuring devices and other primary equipment.
• Fluent English language skills; additional language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel worldwide, including long‑term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad, as well as optional offshore platform assignments.
• A team player with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to handle conflicts positively while making decisions effectively.
