Research Field Geography ⁄ Human geography Education Level PhD or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in the discipline of geography or social and economic geography and spatial management or economy or architecture and urban planning
  • Knowledge of rural development and spatial planning
  • Experience in preparation of scientific articles
  • Experience in speeches at national and international conferences
  • Knowledge of IT techniques used in socioeconomic geography and spatial management, including knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) software
  • Knowledge of spatial analysis methods
  • Experience in university teaching
  • Fluency in Polish—ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Fluency in English—ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Additional assets:
    • experience in preparing and running scientific projects
    • practical experience related to the use of spatial planning and urban design in rural areas in the spatial management of local government units
    • activity related to the organisation of research and teaching

Specific Requirements

  • Diplomas or certificates issued by colleges and universities attesting to education and degrees or titles held (in case of academic degrees obtained abroad - the documents must meet the equivalence criteria set out in Article 328 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742 Polish: Dziennik Ustaw 2024 poz.

    • Information about scientific and didactic achievements of the last five years, including:
      • List of publications
      • List of research projects

      • Information about the training courses received, certificates held, lnformation about the reports and expert assessments made
    • Information about cooperation with scientific centres at home and abroad,
    • Research plan for the next three years,
    • Copies of three selected scientific publications,
    • Declaration that Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań will be the applicant's main employer,
