Rector of University of Siedlce announces the competition for the position of:

• Assistant professor in the research and teaching group (male/female).
• Discipline:
  Security sciences.
• At the Faculty of Social Sciences (Institute of Security Studies).

Qualifications:

Candidates applying for the above position should meet the requirements set forth in Article 20(1) points 1-3 and Article 113 points 1 and 2 of the Law of July 20, 2018 - Law of Higher Education and Sciences and:

• Hold the degree of Doctor of Social Sciences in the discipline of security studies.
• Have a scientific achievement in the form of publications and participation in academic conferences.
• Have at least 2 years of teaching experience.
• Have experience in conducting research in the field of security sciences.
• Have knowledge of personal security, penitentiary science, criminal policy and IT security.
• Have experience in organisational work and in working with a research club.
• Have a command of English at least at B2 level.
• Be fluent in Polish to the extent that allows conducting academic classes.

The candidates should submit the following documents:

• Application for employment addressed to the Rector of the University.
• A copy of documents confirming the obtaining of the high school diploma and academic degrees.
• Information on his/her scientific, teaching and organizational activities, including a list of achievements and indicating the field/discipline he/she represents.
• Personal questionnaire for the applicant or CV.
• A statement that he/she meets the requirements for the position of an academic teacher.
• A clause expressing consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the recruitment process.

A statement that, in the event of employment, University of Siedlce will be the primary workplace.

The competition committee reserves the right to interview in person with the candidates.

The competition is expected to be resolved by February 16, 2026.

Planned employment as of March 1, 2026.

On the basis of paragraph 92 of the Statute of the University of Siedlce, the Rector reserves the right to withdraw from the settlement of the competition for important reasons.

Selected candidates will be contacted. The documents sent by the University will not be returned. In case the candidate is not employed, the documents will be destroyed. To meet the deadline for submitting applications, the date of reception by the University is decisive.
