The Department of Molecular Biology of Faculty of Biology at the University of Gdańsk seeks applicants for Assistant Professor position.

• PhD degree in biological sciences, biotechnology, or medical biology.
• Documented scientific achievements in the field of molecular biology, neurobiology, or medical biology.
• Experience in working with animal models, including planning, conducting, and documenting research in accordance with applicable ethical standards.
• Knowledge of molecular and cellular biology techniques, such as PCR, immunoblotting, fluorescence microscopy, and methods for analyzing gene expression, protein characterization, and cell biology (preferably supported by publications in this field).
• Experience in teaching at a higher education institution, particularly in neurobiology, molecular biology, or related specialties.
• Publications confirming international scientific activity.
• Teamwork skills, particularly demonstrated by experience in participating in research projects and mentoring students or junior scientists.
• Documented experience in applying for external funding (projects submitted to the National Science Centre, National Centre for Research and Development, Foundation for Polish Science, or other agencies) will be considered an additional bonus.
• Organizational skills, demonstrated by coordination of laboratory work, supervision of equipment, co-creation of teaching programs, etc., will be considered an additional bonus.
• Knowledge of Polish and English at a level that allows for the preparation and conduct of lecturers and practical courses, preparation of presentations for scientific conferences and writing manuscripts.
