Curriculum Content Developers at Strong Mind create engaging, standards‑aligned online learning experiences for K–12 students across core subject areas:
English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. This role combines curriculum writing, instructional design, assessment expertise, and editorial quality to ensure that all learning materials meet Strong Mind’s standards for academic rigor, accessibility, and student engagement.
Developers may specialize in K–5 or Grades 6–12 and work cross‑functionally to develop new courses and improve existing ones using backward design, student performance data, and internal tools such as Course Builder, which leverages AI‑assisted workflows to support efficient content development. Successful candidates are comfortable using AI tools as part of their process and apply strong professional judgment to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities Course Development & Instructional Design
- Design and develop new online and blended courses in one or more core subject areas: ELA, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies.
- Create comprehensive planning documents that support backward design, including standards mapping, objectives, learning progressions, and assessment plans.
- Develop instructional content, learning activities, and resources that reflect strong pedagogy and support diverse learners.
- Ensure course materials are inclusive, culturally responsive, and aligned with Strong Mind’s quality standards.
- Collaborate with editors, instructional designers, nouvelles, media teams, and product/engineering partners to develop and refine course experiences.
