Aboutthe Role Mission
Establish, evolve, and maintain a unified visual and artistic language across the entire company's platform and ecosystem— including device design, accessories, OS UI, games, applications, marketing, brand identity, and offline materials.
What You’ll Do- Own and maintain the product visual and artistic vision for the platform and ecosystem
- Define and curate visual style and consistency across hardware, OS/UI, games, branding, and marketing
- Lead the creative process and ensure smooth production of graphical and visual materials
- Supervise and maintain artistic quality across all visual outputs
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Leadership on product strategy and experience direction
- Lead and mentor design and art teams across Product, Brand, and Games
- Build and optimize design and art production pipelines
- Plan workloads, resources, and timelines together with producers
- Manage external creative partners, outsourcing studios, and contractors
- Participate in hiring, performance reviews, mentoring, and design reviews
- Oversee UI/UX for the OS and ecosystem (device UI, app store, mobile apps, web, partner content)
- Curate visual direction for first‑party games and ensure third‑party titles align with platform style
- Support creation of presentations, demos, trailers, and showcases
- Guide brand and marketing visual identity and materials
- Remain hands‑on when needed – capable of personally executing key design tasks
- Proven experience as Art Director / Head of Design / Creative Director
- Experience building or leading design within ecosystem or platform‑based products
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle – from concept to launch
- Experience managing and developing creative and design teams
- Deep understanding of art production workflows and pipeline building
- Ability to justify and defend design decisions clearly and confidently
- Experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, and marketing teams
- Experience working in R&D environments and adapting to evolving requirements
- Strong foundation in composition, color, light, and visual communication
- Ability to create concept sketches, mood boards, and key visual directions
- Experience with motion design for interfaces
- Experience designing packaging, manuals, printed materials, retail POS assets, and merchandise
- Understanding of pre‑press preparation
- Experience working with print vendors and quality control
- Conceptual understanding of hardware / industrial design
- Proficiency with:
Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma, Lottie, plus confident use of AI design tools
- Visionary design leadership mindset
- Passion for product ecosystems and new interaction models
- Ability to balance creativity with production reality
