Head of Operation, Manufacturing ( Location - Jakarta)
Develop the company’s manufacturing operation to fulfill the objectives of the Regional
Joint
-Venture Management under the direction and guidance of the Technical Director
The job holder will develop the factory to be an integral part of the company’s group of factories worldwide
Manufacturing OperationsImplement operating plans and initiatives to achieve company’s strategic direction & objectives
Plan and ensure that manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency meet or exceed customers’ requirements for cost, quality & responsiveness and fulfils Group and industry body (VDE< IEC, BSA) standards inproduct approval and quality.
Work closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to develop efficient and scalable production methods for power cable products.
Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, minimize waste, and ensure consistent quality.
Develop and manage budgeting and budget execution with a focus on production cost, manpower cost and investments and its contributing impact on margins.
Implement effective control mechanisms that limit commercial risk exposure and maximize resource (financial, equipment, facilities, manpower, materials and assets) utilization
Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures in the manufacturing process.
Provide guidance on equipment selection and optimization to support the manufacturing of power cables.
Quality AssuranceCollaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of prototypes and production samples.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Managerial/LeadershipDefine, implement, review and monitor operational results KPIs and duly resolve issues affecting quality and profitability
To cultivate amongst all staffs a corporate identity in line with Corporate Commitment and Philosophy and the Company Cable’s Mission statement and ensure staff complies to the EHS and QMS system that are in place.
To provide required input for preparation of annual budgets inclusive staff expense, operation expense and capital expenditure required, and to operate effectively within the approved budget Manage and oversee the day-to-day performance in operations.
Evaluate the performance of individual team members and provide feedback and guidance for their professional growth. This includes conducting performance reviews, setting development goals, and identifying training opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team.
Manage and guide the team. This includes providing direction, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Encourage reflection, learning from mistakes, and embracing feedback. Identify areas for improvement in processes, tools, and team dynamics and take proactive steps to address them.
OthersAnalyze and review existing production processes and implement improvementsaimed at higher productivity and/or lower costs
QualificationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A master's degree would be an advantage
RequirementsMin. of 10 years’ progressive experience in manufacturing with strong knowledge of industry and management methodologies, QMS ISO 9001, Total Quality Management or Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
At least 5 years experiences in managing a manufacturing operation with P&L accountabilities.
In-depth understanding of industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements related to power cable manufacturing
