Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain database systems:
    Postgre

    SQL primary, MySQL, Click House, and No

    SQL (e.g., Mongo

    DB, Redis).
  • Perform regular database maintenance, including:
  • Upgrades and patch management for all supported databases.
  • Performance optimization through tuning queries, indexes, partitions, and configuration parameters.
  • Housekeeping tasks, such as managing table bloat, archiving old data, and cleaning up unused objects.
  • Ensure database systems are secure, backed up, and regularly maintained in compliance with regulatory and security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents, slow queries, or replication issues.
  • Automate database operations using scripts or orchestration tools.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to design resilient, scalable database architectures.
  • Establish and maintain database monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning.
  • Document all operational procedures, configurations, and incident responses for transparency and repeatability.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience as a DBA or Database Engineer managing production databases.
  • Strong practical knowledge in Postgre

    SQL (must‑have), MySQL, Click House (or other OLAP databases), No

    SQL solutions such as Mongo

    DB, Redis, or Dynamo

    DB.
  • Solid understanding of database internals, performance tuning, query optimization, and storage management.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including RDS, Aurora, EC2, and S3.
  • Experience with database backup/restore strategies and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in database management.
  • Analytical mindset and detail‑oriented.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to production issues.
