Head of Naval Architecture — Jakarta
Responsibilities- Design Leadership:
Oversee hull form development, hydrodynamic analysis, and structural design optimization for composite patrol boats. - Technical Management:
Direct stability calculations, seakeeping assessments, and integration of propulsion/electronic systems. - Regulatory Compliance:
Coordinate with Coast Guard, classification societies, and military standards for vessel certification and approval. - Team Leadership:
Manage naval architects, design team, and structural engineers while fostering innovation and professional development. - Customer Interface:
Support sales with technical presentations, specifications, and design modifications based on customer requirements. - Project Oversight:
Manage multiple vessel projects from concept through production, ensuring timeline and budget adherence.
- Bachelor s in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering (Master s preferred).
- 10+ years naval architecture experience with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Expert proficiency in design software (Rhino, Solid Works, AutoCAD).
- Extensive composite materials knowledge and manufacturing process understanding.
- Strong grasp of maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
- Proven track record in small craft design, preferably military/commercial workboats.
- Willing to relocate to Indonesia.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
