Job Overview:

Samvedna Development Society (    ), a new age NGO, is recruiting professionals/ experts in Livestock sector on its payroll for a project supported by BHARAT FINANCIAL INCLUSION LIMITED (A 100 % Subsidiary of Indus Ind Bank).
Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India has signed an MoU with the Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (BFIL) to support the livelihood intervention of DAY-NRLM by syncing their activities in livestock and farming development. As part of the MoU, in initial phase a PMU is to be established to support DAY-NRLM at national level and State PMUs to be developed. The PMU is to have specialists from livestock, Market Linkage etc.

We are currently hiring for the various positions to support the State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM), Rajasthan in managing livestock programmes.

Role & Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of  Poultry and Goatry Value Chain initiatives , ensuring sustainable growth and measurable impact across project areas in  Rajasthan .
Oversee and optimize the  end-to-end poultry and goatry value chains , from production and input services to processing and market linkages.
Collaborate with  farmers, FPOs, SHGs, processors, and other stakeholders  to improve productivity, income, and enterprise sustainability.
Conduct training and capacity-building programs for  smallholder farmers  on poultry and goatry management, disease control, biosecurity, and value addition.
Develop and execute strategies to improve  market access, quality assurance, and compliance with food safety standards  for poultry and goatry products.
Work closely with  local communities, SHGs, and partners  to identify sector-specific challenges and growth opportunities in poultry and goatry.
Ensure timely  documentation, reporting, and monitoring  of project activities, including performance indicators, financials, and outcomes.
Provide technical guidance on  animal health, feed and nutrition management, breeding practices , and  forward & backward linkages  for both poultry and goatry.
Promote adoption of  innovative, climate-smart, and scalable technologies  in poultry and goatry interventions.
Build and maintain partnerships with  government departments, private sector players, and NGOs  to strengthen the poultry and goatry value chain ecosystem.

Qualifications & Skills:

Qualification:

UG:  BVSc in any specialization
PG:  MVSc in any specialization / MBA / PGDM

Skills & Experience:

5–10 years of experience  in  Poultry and/or Goatry Value Chain Management  or a related domain.
Strong understanding of  poultry and goatry production systems, market linkages, and value chain optimization .
Proficiency in  Hindi  (Rajasthan location); knowledge of  local Rajasthani dialects  will be an added advantage.
Experience in  training, extension, and capacity building  for smallholder farmers.
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability in  stakeholder management , including FPOs, government agencies, and market partners.
Willingness and ability to  travel extensively across project areas in Rajasthan .
