German Language Expert

We are a growing startup looking for a  German Language Expert  to support our content, marketing, and language operations. This role is ideal for someone who is fluent in German, enjoys creating high-quality content, and is comfortable working across multiple language-related functions in a fast-paced startup environment.
You will be responsible for producing German content, managing ongoing German social media activities, conducting market research, proofreading, and supporting other language-related operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
German Content Creation
Create original, high-quality written content in  German  (marketing content, social media posts, website copy, blogs, etc.)
Adapt and localize content to suit German-speaking audiences and markets
Ensure tone, style, and messaging align with brand guidelines
Social Media Management (German Language)
Plan, create, and manage ongoing  German-language social media content
Support engagement initiatives and community interaction in German
Collaborate with marketing teams to align social media with campaigns
Proofreading & Quality Control
Proofread and edit German content for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance
Review translations and localized content to ensure high linguistic standards
Market Research
Conduct  German market research  to understand audience behavior, trends, and competitors
Provide insights to improve content strategy and product positioning in German-speaking markets
Language & Operations Support
Assist with other  language-related operations , including coordination with translators, reviewers, or multilingual teams
Support content or operational needs in additional languages where required
Work simultaneously on multiple language tasks and projects
Requirements
Native or near-native proficiency in  German  (written and spoken)
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in German

Experience with social media content creation and management
Understanding of German-speaking markets and cultural nuances
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a startup environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Nice to Have
Knowledge of additional languages
Familiarity with digital marketing or content strategy
Basic SEO or analytics knowledge
