Counsellor – MPH (Master of Public Health)

Role Overview :
The Counsellor – MPH (Master of Public Health) will be responsible for promoting, counselling, and facilitating admissions for the MPH program offered by IIHMR University. The role involves engaging with prospective students and working professionals across India, providing end-to-end admission counselling, and ensuring a smooth and professional enrolment experience in line with institutional academic standards.

Qualification:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Marketing, Management, Education, or a related discipline.

Required Skills:

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of higher education admission processes and student counselling practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM / admission management systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and lead management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and meet admission targets.
- Result-oriented with a student-centric approach and strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with academic and marketing teams.
- Willingness to participate in outreach, events, and promotional activities as required.

Required Experience:

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in student counselling, admissions, education sales, or academic coordination (preferably in higher education or management/public health programs).

Key Responsibilities:

- Counsel prospective students and working professionals about the MPH (MBA – Master of Public Health) program, including curriculum structure, eligibility criteria, career opportunities, and outcomes.
- Handle student enquiries through inbound and outbound calls, emails, walk-ins, and digital platforms.
- Guide applicants through the complete admission process, including eligibility checks, document verification, and application submission.
- Support candidates in preparing Statements of Purpose (SOPs) and other required admission documents.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of enquiries, leads, applications, and conversions in the CRM system.
- Coordinate closely with academic departments, marketing teams, and the admissions office to support enrolment objectives.
- Assist in planning and executing admission drives, webinars, open houses, education fairs, campus visits, and virtual information sessions.
- Track daily/weekly admission progress, lead conversions, and provide regular MIS reports to the Admissions Head.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-ups with applicants to enhance conversion and student experience.
- Adhere to institutional policies, admission timelines, and quality standards.
