Summary:
The person is responsible for managing the end-to-end editorial workflow, ensuring timely and high-quality content production. This role acts as the communication bridge between reporters, designers, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and smooth execution of edition.
Key Responsibilities:
Editorial Planning & Coordination -
- The person is responsible for supporting the news desk in planning, editing, and producing high-quality content for edition. The role involves reviewing articles, coordinating with reporters, ensuring editorial standards, and assisting in content development to maintain the publication’s quality and credibility. The role involves assisting the Editor in planning and developing editorial content, coordinating with reporters, correspondents, and contributors to ensure timely submission of stories, and verifying facts, data, and sources to maintain journalistic credibility.
The position also requires contributing to story ideas, writing headlines and captions, and collaborating with design and production teams to finalize page layouts for print. Additionally, the role requires to manage and monitoring the deadlines, manages multiple editorial assignments simultaneously, ensures that all content follows the organization’s style guidelines.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
· Excellent editing, proofreading, and writing skills.
· Strong command of grammar, style, and journalistic standards.
· Good knowledge of news reporting and editorial workflows.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
· Strong communication and coordination skills.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
· 10-12 years of experience in print journalism or editorial roles.
