Under limited supervision, the Pain Management Advanced Practice Provider will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to patients experiencing both acute and chronic pain. Primary responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, developing comprehensive pain management plans, and implementing evidence-based treatments to alleviate discomfort. Other responsibilities include prescribing appropriate medications, coordinating non-pharmacological therapies, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care, educating patients and their families on pain management strategies, and monitoring their progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
What's Needed to Succeed:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Licensed as an APRN or PA-C within the state or ability to obtain such licensure
- Prior experience in a pain management, orthopedic, or similar setting
