Salary
: $27.43/ hr. plus $14.75 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner. Equipment may include trucks, cranes, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, large industrial tractors, and other equipment.
- Clean, maintain, and secure equipment as directed by policies and procedures.
- Read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans.
- Grease, adjust, and perform emergency repairs to equipment.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required; ensure safe storage.
- Participate in routine maintenance; maintain inventory on tools and equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of truck and equipment safety; operation, maintenance, and storage of front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques; use of hand and power tools.
- Adaptable and flexible in work situations; practices workplace safety including proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years experience operating heavy equipment with minor heavy mechanical repair experience.
- Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
- Valid Driver's License (REAL ) or willingness to obtain one.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check; regular, dependable attendance.
- Overtime required (nights and weekends).
- U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Use of hands, reach with arms, talk, and walk.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping.
- Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
