Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance:
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems in commercial buildings - Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to map out system layouts and ensure compliance with project specifications - Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular inspections and tests of electrical systems and components to ensure peak performance and adherence to safety standards - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve electrical problems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of systems - Team
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with other trades to keep jobs on schedule and within budget, fostering a cooperative work environment - Safety Compliance:
Maintain strict safety standards and comply with all regulations and site requirements, conducting safety audits and addressing potential hazards - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, time sheets, and safety reports - Client Interaction:
Serve as a point of contact for clients on job sites, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns or questions
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification
- Experience with commercial build-outs, renovations, and service contracts
- Proficiency in using project management and scheduling software
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes and regulations
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and other trades
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
