Travel Nursing Job Details

  Jacksonville, NC 28546 (North Carolina travel nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1680 - $1800
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 4 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 48
• Unit:
  Medical-Surgical Telemetry (42 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend and holiday shifts included
• No call required
• Floating:
  May float to similar or lower acuity units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
• CPI certification required
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedic diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms for acute and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and manage drips (insulin, heparin, Lasix) in a clinical setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs, and unit secretaries
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic health records (EHR)
• Float to units with similar or lower acuity as needed to support patient care
• Provide compassionate care, patient education, and support to patients and families
