Athletic Trainer role at Planned Systems International
Cognito Systems, a Planned Systems International (PSI) joint venture, is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River – Jacksonville, North Carolina, supporting helicopter and tilt‑rotor aircraft in air operations.
The lives of our nation’s active‑duty military depend on outstanding healthcare. As a civilian contractor with Cognito Systems, you will serve in the United States Marine Corps’ Sports Medicine Injury Prevention (SMIP) Program, optimizing Marine performance and readiness.
Essential Functions andJob Responsibilities
- Be a part of the team:
Cognito Systems, LLC and its partners are committed to delivering world‑class healthcare to military members and veterans. - Provide athletic training services to support Marine Corps athletes and personnel.
- Collaborate with medical staff to prevent injuries and facilitate recovery.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Participate in field training and readiness drills.
- Degree:
Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or a related field. - Education:
Graduation from a CAATE‑accredited program; BOC passing score; valid National Provider Identifier (NPI). - Certification:
Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any of the 49 regulated states, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands. - Experience:
Five years of Athletic Training experience, with at least 12 months in the last 36 months working with collegiate, professional/Olympic athletes, or military personnel. - Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.
- Credentialing:
Ability to pass background check and drug screen; up‑to‑date physical and immunizations. - Physical:
Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 20 kg (45 lbs). - Job Site:
Must be on the Marine Corps Air Station premises during work hours.
