Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU/ICCU

USD $30.23/Hr. – $48.37/Hr. (Max).
Sign‑on bonus up to $20,000.

Overview

As a Registered Nurse you will provide and coordinate comprehensive care for acutely ill patients, from adolescent to adult. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process—assessment, formulation of nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans—according to established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. You will supervise nursing staff to care for patient groups.

Education & Qualifications
  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • BSN preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registry
  • Licensed in the State of Illinois.
  • CPR certification required or completed during onboarding.
  • ACLS certification required or to be completed within 6 months of employment.
Other Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Advanced reading, writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic nursing skills and clinical information systems.
  • Computer literacy including keyboarding and use of computer systems.
Responsibilities
  • Assess patients’ health status through interview, observation and physical assessment.
  • Develop individualized plans of care with specific goals and timelines in collaboration with patient, family, provider and care team.
  • Implement interventions to move patients toward established goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and document patient progress, modifying care plans as needed.
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely in the patient medical record.
  • Safely utilize patient‑care equipment and prioritize work based on patient condition and urgent needs.
  • Collaborate with the health‑care team to organize tasks from admission through discharge, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Perform nursing care activities that promote safety, reduce risks and follow policies and procedures.
  • Advocate for patients with families, physicians and other team members.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to patient responses, readiness to learn and comprehension levels.
  • Incorporate cultural, age‑specific, gender and developmental factors into patient/family education.
  • Promptly address patient/family requests and concerns.
  • Provide age‑appropriate care and communication for all patient age groups.
  • Support initiatives that enhance patient experience and lead others in patient‑experience actions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
