Patient Care Aide - PCA - $400 Bonus Available*

Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors and individuals in need in the Central Illinois area, including Sangamon, Menard, Morgan, Logan counties, and more. Employment with Visiting Angels is a chance to provide compassion to families by offering a helping hand.

Position details include flexible hours, opportunities for full-time, part-time, PRN, weekdays, nights, and weekends, with various shift lengths and scheduling options. Travel time with mileage reimbursement is available, along with a range of benefits and training opportunities.

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Own a vehicle with current insurance
• Social Security Card
• Must meet all qualifications to receive bonus

• Pay Rate: $16-$20/hour
• Differential pay for nights and weekends
