Position: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - OP

Overview

Direct, supervise, evaluate, and provide occupational therapy services to patients.

Salary: USD $31.51/Hr., Max USD $48.83/Hr.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, licensure or license pending in Illinois without disciplinary actions, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Illinois licensed/licensed eligible as an Occupational Therapist
  • CPR certification or complete within 30 days of employment

Experience:
Previous clinical experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Effective team communication and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and verbal skills
  • Willingness to pursue further education for CEU requirements
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Exposure to infectious disease in healthcare setting
  • Physical ability to assist patients, including lifting over 100 pounds and performing transfers

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review treatment plans in accordance with physician referrals
  • Evaluate patient disability, injury, or disease process
  • Communicate with physicians regarding patient progress
  • Document patient responses and progress
  • Assist in developing and implementing care plans
  • Provide respectful and dignified care to patients and families
  • Address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs
  • Provide age-specific care for diverse patient groups
  • Educate and supervise patients and staff as needed
  • Participate in professional development and meetings
  • Follow all standards, policies, and ethical guidelines
  • Meet productivity and documentation standards
  • Maintain department equipment and supplies
  • Perform other duties as required
