Overview
PBNA $75,000/year. Position drives a tractor/trailer truck to make long-distance pick-ups and deliveries of predominantly finished products or materials/supplies. Checks and/or assists in loading/unloading. Obtains proper authorization for deliveries/pick-ups. Inspects vehicle for proper and safe operating conditions before and after each trip. Maintains a DOT driver’s log and adheres to all DOT regulations. May require multiple nights away, sleeping in sleeper cabs, and may involve driving in adverse weather.
Requires a CDL license. Some physical requirements include working with tractor/trailer components, bending and cranking landing gear, climbing in and out of cabs, sitting for extended periods, and lifting cases weighing 20–45 pounds if they are in the trailer.
- Deliver finished products or raw materials to assigned destination
- Ensure safety and compliance of load
- Maintain DOT driver log and other required transport documentation
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- 21 years or older
- Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test
- Valid U.S. CDL License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status
- Valid Class A CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (with Haz Mat/Double and Tanker endorsements)
- At least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours; follow DOT Regulations
- Operating trucks requiring a valid U.S. CDL Class A license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, dropping and hooking, operating landing gear, backing into docks and confined spaces)
- Hauling consumer products and perishable goods (e.g., transporting unstable loads, hauling different weights on different trip segments)
- Operating a tractor-trailer in different conditions (highway, side/local roads, city/country, tight spaces)
Because the material job duties involve regular field work away from a physical Company location, and in interfacing with employees, vendors, customers, and the general public, a conditional offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
