General Labor
Prepares shipments, makes arrangements for delivery, and ships parts, assemblies, or other items as necessary. Systemically performs routine electronic tasks involving shipping record keeping in accordance with standard operating procedures and the RS/QCM.
Responsibilities- Prepares items for shipment and arranges shipment by the most appropriate method considering urgency, customer requirements, and contents of the shipment.
- Arranges shipment by mail or major freight carriers.
- Prepares bills of lading and other documents related to shipment, properly identifying the contents, including identification of any hazardous materials included in the shipment.
- Makes appropriate database entries (FAS and Customer’s) with regard to shipping activities.
- Utilizes proper packaging methods for the items being shipped. Assembles non‑standard shipping crates and boxes, as necessary.
- Maintains an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Completes required documentation on a timely, thorough and legible basis as required.
- Files documents properly according to company policies and procedures.
- Performs supply clerk role functions such as ‘Reverse Logistics’ as assigned when necessary or when shipping activity is at a low level.
- Performs tasks as necessary to assist in keeping the work area clean, neat, and organized.
- Lifts and carries items to be shipped and work materials, and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping or reaching overhead.
- Follows safety procedures and wears/uses appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed.
- Drives a golf cart or truck to make pick‑ups and deliveries as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Obtain the required regulatory qualifications and FAS training to perform the general functions of the role.
Languages:
Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Spanish a plus

Previous
Experience:
Minimum one (1) year of shipping experience providing a basic knowledge of logistics terminology, policies, and procedures.
Technical
Skills:
Position requires working knowledge in general software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
