Logistics Account Manager

Vaco is currently hiring for several Freight Brokers

Location:

Jacksonville, FL

Compensation: BOE $19- $30/hour

Previous experience within transportation/logistics needed - This role is a true hybrid of all things logistics from brokerage; planning; negotiations; load planning; communication with drivers. Associate will need to have thick skin and be able to work within a fast-paced; changing environment that can be loud at times.

• Communicate with drivers regarding loads and their status
• Provide superior communication with internal and external customers
• Execute shipments at the load levels
• Utilize multiple methods of available load broadcasts / postings
• Negotiate contract with carriers
• Negotiate shipments and freight
• Highly level of customer service
• Strong ability to problem-solve
• Utilize relationships with prospective carriers to generate sales; repeat sales; maximize margins and aid in booking freight with quality.
• Resolve transportation needs by coordinating directly with customers; and other departments.
• Prepare; review; approve and maintain files
• Coordinate shipments and ensure cargo is traced
• Receive; reconcile; generate; consolidate and/or summarize documents and information.
• Ensure invoices are accurate and in accordance to the physical shipment and customer regulatory requirements.
• May be required to interpret; review and apply appropriate rates to bills of lading timely and accurately while staying compliant with the rules and regulations.
• Various duties as needed

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
