• Must be an approved local State CDL Examiner.
• Have a safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all laws and regulations covering tractor‑trailer interstate operations.
• Examiners must show a favorable attitude toward performance; assessed on professionalism, respect, motivation, maturity, and safety.

• All SAGE Third Party CDL Examiners must possess knowledge, skill, and actual performance abilities that exceed the objectives of the position.

CDL Examiners must meet the minimum qualifications for interstate tractor‑trailer drivers, including all requirements of the applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Part 391, and must pass a DOT drug/alcohol screen.
