GATE FUEL SERVICE MINI TANKER DRIVER
Gate Petroleum Company is seeking a qualified driver to deliver hazmat fuels to all specified locations. This role requires adherence to D.O.T. rules and regulations, a clear medical report for commercial driving, and excellent driving, customer service, and organizational skills.
JOB SUMMARYThe Mini Tanker Driver delivers hazmat fuels to all specified locations and engages in deliveries of all fuel types. The driver must comply with all D.O.T. regulations, attain a certified medical examination, and maintain a consistent ability to work in a team.
REQUIREMENTS- Successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
- Pass a DOT drug test whenever required.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record for 3 years.
- Possess a Minimum Class B license with Tank and Hazmat Endorsements.
- One year of mini tanker driving experience preferred.
- Speak, read, write, and comprehend English at a sufficient level to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Hold a Clear DOT Medical report.
- Route deliveries using maps or GPS.
- Basic understanding of geographical area and local mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing.
- Awareness of all regulations required for Tank‑endorsed drivers.
- Knowledge of all DOT regulations.
- Understand and utilize FMCSA Hours‑of‑Service rules.
- Know how to transport a fluid load.
- Know when to call for directional information.
- Arrive to work on time, consistently.
- Arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean, and in good repair; ensure team also in uniform.
- Maintain a clean, short hair style; management retains final approval.
- Attend all required training, safety courses, meetings, and departmental meetings.
- Report and assist in rectifying any safety hazards.
- Deliver product to specified locations safely and to the correct tank and compartment.
- Perform safety inspections of equipment before, during, and after the shift.
- Account for all products delivered.
- Analyze deliveries to ensure safe drop.
- Calculate tank capacity for delivery.
- Handle high‑stress traffic situations.
- Route deliveries using maps or GPS.
- Perform any additional tasks requested or assigned by Mini Tanker Dispatch.
