This is the position of First Assistant Golf Professional at Timuquana Country Club.
Pay Range$65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
About the ClubFounded in 1923, Timuquana Country Club features a championship Donald Ross design, a recent Bruce Hepner restoration, and hosts prestigious events including the U.S. Senior Amateur, U.S. Women’s Four-Ball, and the PGA TOUR Champions Constellation Furyk & Friends. In May 2026, the club will open a state-of-the-art Golf Performance Center with three hitting bays, a putting lab, club repair, and a new 6,000 sq.
ft. putting green. With 1,100 members (700 golf; 1‑year waitlist), ~31,000 annual rounds, and a thriving golf operation generating nearly $3M annually, Timuquana is regarded as one of the Southeast’s premier private clubs.
Timuquana is seeking an energetic, service‑driven First Assistant Golf Professional to support daily operations, lead tournament administration, and contribute to teaching and player development. This role works closely with the Head Golf Professional and is ideal for an ambitious PGA Professional committed to becoming a Head Golf Professional. Timuquana is known for developing talent—our past First Assistant was promoted to Head Golf Professional, and our previous Head Golf Professional advanced to a Director of Golf role.

- Lead planning and execution of all club tournaments & corporate outings
- Support daily golf shop operations, staff training, and service standards
- Assist with instruction, junior golf, clinics, and Performance Center programming
- Maintain strong playing ability and actively play with members
- Contribute to merchandising, inventory management, and administrative duties
- PGA Class A Members
- Strong tournament operations background (Golf Genius preferred)
- Excellent communication, hospitality, and team‑leadership skills
- Teaching experience with modern technologies
- Career‑driven with a clear path toward becoming a Head Golf Professional
