Job Overview

SQL Data Engineer – Hybrid (Jacksonville, FL)
12‑month contract with potential to extend or convert to full‑time. Working onsite a few days per week.

• Write highly complex SQL queries (joins across large fact tables, window functions, performance tuning).
• Design and optimize Star/Snowflake schemas.
• Solve large‑scale batch processing (10 TB+ datasets preferred) for nightly claims or transactional pipelines.
• Implement indexing, partitioning and query performance optimization.
• Automate data pipelines (cron jobs, error handling, file transfers) using Unix/Linux scripting.
• Develop stored procedures for reusable data transformations and batch workflows.
• Collaborate with .NET MVC teams (C#, ASP.NET) to integrate with the data warehouse via APIs or direct SQL calls.

• Advanced SQL, data warehousing expertise.
• Experience with IBM Netezza (preferred) or similar RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Proficiency with batch job orchestration (10 TB+ healthcare datasets). Example: “Scripted daily data ingestion for 10 TB+ healthcare datasets using Bash.”
• Stored procedure development. Example: “Created stored procedures to automate provider data aggregation, reducing runtime by 30%.”
• Experience with SSIS or similar ETL tools.
• Unix/Linux scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, HL7) and compliance (HIPAA, PHI) is a plus.
• Must not have H1B, EAD, GC EAD.

• Senior Data Engineer/Developer background.
• Experience designing optimized data models (fact/dimension tables) for analytics.
• Handling high‑volume batch jobs (e.g., nightly claims processing).
