Victim Services Practitioner; Bilingual Spanish

Overview

This is a part-time on-site role located in Jacksonville, FL for a Victim Services Practitioner. The practitioner will provide direct support, advocacy, and assistance to individuals impacted by crime.

Responsibilities include conducting client intake, offering crisis intervention, guiding victims through legal processes, connecting clients to community resources, and assisting with the development and execution of victim service programs. Collaboration with law enforcement, legal professionals, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive victim support is also a key component of this role.

• Knowledge of victim advocacy, crisis intervention, and understanding of trauma-informed practices.
• Skills in communication, active listening, and building rapport with diverse populations.
• Experience in developing and maintaining effective partnerships with legal, law enforcement, and community organizations.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
• Proficiency in documentation, case management, and providing resource referrals.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal resources and laws pertaining to victim services is beneficial.
• Bilingual proficiency is an asset but not required.
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in professional practice.
