** THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
** Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly-skilled Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team of professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of electrical systems and outstanding problem-solving skills, performing all necessary installations, maintenance, and repairs.
** WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
*** Experienced in the following:
* Commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
* Installation of all types of conduit.
* Use of electric and hydraulic benders.
* Installation of switch gear, transformers, and panel boards.
* Installation of interior and exterior lighting.
* Installation of standby power systems (generators, UPS).
* Knowledge of fire alarm, voice/data, and security system installation.
* Follow specifications on blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings for installations.
* Conduct all troubleshooting, repairs and installations in accordance with the National Electric Code.
* Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
** WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
*** Two to five years of experience as an Electrical Journeyman.
* At least five (5) years of electrical field experience.
* Knowledge of current code NFPA 70, 72, 101 and Florida building code.
* Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in the installation of electrical projects.
* Customer-focused, skilled in project and people management.
* Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
* Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications.
* Able to work independently.
* Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
* Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
* Good computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
