Facilities Maintenance Technician – Lake City, FL

Walsh Infrastructure Management LLC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for FDOT Rest Areas in District 2, located in Lake City, FL.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform physical labor as directed by the supervisor.
• Work with crew members, operating hand and power tools such as drills and hammers.
• Clean and prepare sites, erect scaffolding, remove debris, dispose of waste, and dig trenches.
• Load and unload supplies around the worksite manually and with equipment.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: 1 year verifiable construction experience.
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on a ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather.
• Requires compliance with all safety policies and procedures, and effective communication with co‑workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
