• High School Diploma or GED
• Vocational trade school or similar experience requiring mechanical aptitude and skill

0-2 Years

• Previous position requiring good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

• Works with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and device installations
• Learn to read and understand U.S. Navy ship installation drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable running sheets
• Learn to use hand tools and test equipment
• Develop leadership skills
• Strive for superior workmanship in a mission-critical environment

• Working in Confined Spaces

• Safely lift and move objects of up to 50 lbs

• Work primarily in Jacksonville, FL, with potential travel to other shipyards in the USA and Navy ports outside the USA
• Applicants will undergo a government security investigation; U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for clearance are required
• Must pass a background check
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record

• Work overtime as requested by management
• Maintain and safeguard company equipment, tools, and inventory

• Lift at least 100 pounds at once and 60 pounds for extended periods
• Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance
• Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and balancing on scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ladders
• Perform routine physical activities including walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead
• Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and ability to communicate in English
• Recognize problems or potential issues but not necessarily solve them
• Apply general rules to specific problems and synthesize information to draw conclusions
