Technician
We are seeking a skilled Plumber who will be working Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a guaranteed 40‑hour workweek. The primary role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and components. The technician will be responsible for ensuring all installations and repairs meet industry standards and building codes.
Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components.
- Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials.
- Identify required tools and special equipment.
- Select the type and size of pipe required.
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment.
- Assemble and install valves and fittings.
- Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls.
- Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, and toilets.
- Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and conditioners.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim.
- Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
- Maintain all building codes, installation requirements, and relevant legislation.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Administer and schedule work, including preparing budgets and orders of supplies.
- Keep daily reports and schedule work in cooperation with other trades and suppliers.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Proficiency in plumbing, construction, and blueprint reading.
- Experience with installation, cast iron, piping, plumbing, and field service.
- Ability to work with commercial plumbing and handle brazing and soldering tasks.
- Knowledge of cast iron, copper, PVC pipe, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with water distribution and wastewater disposal in various building types.
Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the northern economic, cultural, and political environment.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other trades and possess team‑building skills.

- Proficient negotiation and mediation skills.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract-to-Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00–$30.00/hr.
