A growing manufacturer of premium quality windows and doors in N Florida has immediate openings for technicians in the field. We are looking for hard working, dependable individuals who possess carpentry or mechanical skills and take pride in their work to join our team.

A Service Field Technician is responsible for providing great customer service, helping replace glass in windows and doors, installing items such as window screens, window/door sash and hardware, and meeting company safety requirements.
Essential Functions- Drive up to 6 hours in a single day.
- Replaces glass in windows or doors; installs items such as window screens, window/door sash, hardware, etc.
- Performs job site walks-throughs and completes necessary paperwork; identifies items that need attention or correction prior to project finalization.
- Meets company safety requirements by keeping the work area neat and clean, following safety precautions, wearing required safety apparel, and reporting any safety issues to the manager.
- Performs and completes service jobs on products in the field.
- Problem solves and diagnoses difficult issues in the field.
- Provides customers with helpful information on the care, operation and maintenance of their products.
- Generates and updates all service-related completes in Service Module following a service visit so that additional service calls can be scheduled, if necessary, and billing or credit can be completed.
- Conducts any necessary follow up service work or communication to bring resolution and a Very Satisfied Customer Service Rating from all Customers;
Serves as a Customer Service Champion at all times. - Identifies and orders parts to order.
- The ability to be a problem solver and manage multiple tasks, appropriately prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.
- Loads Service van with all necessary parts and equipment on an as-needed basis, no less than weekly.
- Maintains assigned Service vehicle.
- Completes service work orders and communicates any ongoing customer or product related issues with advisors.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be in compliance with the company Fleet Safety Policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to drive up to 6 hours in a single day.
- Ability to read/use a map.
- Window and/or door experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift 75-100 pounds.
- Ability to work off a ladder, up to 40 feet.
- Able to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
- Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required.
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Great communication skills to work with customers.
- Amazing problem-solving skills.
- A technical degree is preferable.
- Ability to diagnose problems with equipment.
- Great mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate in English.
