Position Summary

The Commercial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings such as offices, retail centers, schools, warehouses, and multi-tenant facilities. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial construction projects

* Install conduit, wire, panels, transformers, lighting, and devices

* Pull, terminate, and test conductors in accordance with NEC and project specifications

* Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications

* Perform layout for branch circuits, feeders, and device locations

* Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment

* Ensure work is performed in compliance with NEC, local codes, and company standards

* Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

* Follow jobsite safety policies and participate in safety meetings

* Coordinate work with foremen, other electricians, and trades

* Assist with inspections, testing, and commissioning

Required Qualifications

* Journeyman Electrician license (where required by jurisdiction)

* 3+ years of commercial electrical experience

* Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and NEC requirements

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings

* Experience installing conduit, feeders, branch circuits, and devices

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

* Ability to pass background checks and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

* OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certification

Work Environment

This role is primarily performed on active commercial construction sites and involves physical labor, working at heights, lifting, bending, and exposure to construction environments.
