The Journeyman Electrician is a licensed or otherwise certified electrical craftsman that performs a wide range of skills, including installation of complex electrical systems, troubleshooting, repair, demolition, maintenance, layout, cleanup, remodeling, or other related activities in a safe manner. Journeyman electricians also supervise and train apprentice workers and CW/CE employees. Journeyman electricians are typically directed and managed by a Field Superintendent/Foreman.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform work required to repair, maintain, install, and modernize electrical systems for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Perform work of a skilled variety demanding a high degree of manual and technical competency.
- Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
- Repair malfunctions by replacing burned-out elements fuses, replacing defective wiring, and cleaning and repairing motors.
- Test electrical equipment, such as motors, heaters, and controls, for safety and efficiency using standard test equipment and observing functions.
- Install electrical conduit, cable tray, wiring, Motor Control Centers, Switchgear and PLC Cabinets.
- Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
- Knowledge of security and fire alarm systems.
- Perform other duties as may be required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of the electrical trade.
- Journeyman Electrician’s License.
- Requires initiative and ingenuity to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
- Ability to sustain considerable physical effort at frequent intervals.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.
- Perform manual labor as required that may include:
- Manual excavation
- Bending Pipe
- Pulling wire
- Lifting 50 pounds
- Working with hands overhead
- Using heavy equipment
