Security Officer - Flex Armed Response Patrol in Jacksonville, FL – you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, including utilities. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Armed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication and customer service.

Job Schedule: Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, yards, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or tampering with utility infrastructure.
- Complete security-related reports, document incidents, and communicate observations and/or hazards to site leadership in a timely manner.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Have a TSA issued TWIC.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
