As a Security Officer - Main Gate Access in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will manage access control, greet associates and shoppers, verify credentials, and monitor entry points for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to requests with clear communication and customer service.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures at a retail or mall location, including checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and directing foot traffic.
• Monitor entrances, exits, loading areas, and common areas for unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, and report concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including interior retail areas, exterior perimeter, and parking areas, while documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Assist with loss prevention and crowd management support by observing customer activity, supporting store associates during disturbances, and maintaining a professional presence during peak shopping periods.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
