Duval Ford Fleet Division is seeking an Outside Government Salesperson to join our team. This position is responsible for selling vehicles to businesses, organizations, and government entities. This role focuses on developing relationships with commercial clients, understanding their specific vehicle needs, and providing tailored solutions.

  • Proven experience as a Salesperson or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of fleet vehicle specifications and features.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Must be self‑motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
Qualifications
  • Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Ford services and pricing structure.
  • Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
  • Determine customer needs and propose appropriate service needs.
  • Meet or exceed the new business sales goals.
  • Complete scheduled and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers.
  • Complete required reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
  • Regularly meet with President-Fleet to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
  • Required to pass pre‑employment screening: background checks, motor vehicle check and drug test.
  • Able to present a valid driver's license and verify employment authorization in the United States.
