Outside Sales Representative – Jacksonville & Surrounding Areas AJAX Fasteners

AJAX Fasteners is looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to support and grow our Jacksonville customer base. This role is focused on developing new accounts while strengthening existing relationships across industrial, manufacturing, and construction customers.

This is a hands‑on sales position. Success comes from urgency, follow‑up, accuracy, and a strong ability to manage relationships. The right person is organized, resilient, self‑motivated, and comfortable being accountable for results.

• Develop new customer accounts through prospecting, jobsite visits, referrals, and relationship building
• Grow existing accounts by identifying new opportunities, increasing share of wallet, and improving customer engagement
• Maintain regular, purposeful contact with customers through in‑person visits, calls, and follow‑ups
• Understand customer needs and provide accurate product recommendations, pricing, and lead times
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, orders, and open items to ensure timely execution
• Work closely with inside sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy and service consistency
• Manage and support VMI or consignment accounts when applicable
• Track activity, opportunities, and customer updates in the company system
• Represent AJAX Fasteners professionally in the field and at customer locations

• Willingness to be in the field consistently and engage customers face‑to‑face

• Outside sales experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or related fields
• Knowledge of fasteners, industrial products, or construction supplies is a plus, but not required
• Ability to read basic drawings, specifications, or job requirements is helpful
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Jacksonville area
• Comfortable lifting and handling products when required for customer support or deliveries
