Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist will assist the Product Lifecycle Manager in all aspects of inventory management for a retail branch location. The role supports sales, order fulfillment, and merchandising teams to maximize sales impact through effective inventory control strategies. Work hours vary between 6 am and 6:30 pm, Monday through Saturdays.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate inventory control and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Complete the cycle count process weekly in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform regular physical walks of the location to investigate product holes or excess stock.
- Support daytime receiving processes of inventory within the location.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and complete daily inventory adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with Sales and Merchandising Operations teams to drive sales through optimal inventory levels.
- Contribute to the location’s annual wall‑to‑wall inventory count through preparation and day‑of attendance.
- Perform additional tasks and support initiatives assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with business goals.
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the store.
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 lbs.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management.
EducationThis role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.
Desired Traits & Skills- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM systems and project management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
