Retail Shortage Control – Part‑time Burlington Stores, Inc.

Base Pay: $14.00 per hour

• Stand at store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas to deter theft and create a secure environment.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and a friendly greeting to promote control and security.
• Monitor the store environment, review footage, and identify theft incidents or suspicious behavior.
• Conduct bag and package checks on employees and corporate associates when required.
• Provide support and training on shortage reduction programs, and role‑model safety.
• Report incidents to the Manager on Duty.

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, retail, loss prevention, or operations.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to maintain visual surveillance.
• Demonstrated confidentiality and ability to review/analyze business trends.
• Strong communication skills and energetic customer interactions.
• Leadership skills that foster productive business relationships.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Command presence and professional appearance.
• Knowledge of theft trends and shortage reduction programs.
• Effective communication, including bag checks and customer engagement.
