Description

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager, leading and developing store employees, recruiting and retaining top talent, maximizing financial goals, and managing Customer Relations. This position requires a minimum of six (6+) months of management or third‑tier key experience and includes a daily commitment to the company’s asset protection program.

Responsibilities Of An Assistant Store Manager
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues
  • Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring all asset protection procedures are followed
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, and securing customer loans
  • Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain integrity of all loans issued
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
  • Must be willing to assist customers in exterior areas of the building
  • Minimum age 18
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Assistant Store Managers work 40+ hours a week (hours not guaranteed)
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment and detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense
Commission Plan Information

Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed plan information is provided during the interview process.
