Job Description
Nemours is seeking a Sr Financial Analyst in Jacksonville, FL. This position is responsible for financial budgeting, analysis, and reporting support to assigned departments/divisions. This includes continuous fiscal monitoring and analysis of key performance indicators and identifying and implementing business processes and financial practices which will contribute to improved financial performance. Position is also responsible for implementing and improving financial processes.
EssentialFunctions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries, variance analyses, and P&L reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor operational spending against budgets and financial plans; perform detailed trend analysis and forecasting.
- Assist in developing, preparing, and managing departmental and organizational budgets.
- Conduct financial modeling to forecast expenses, revenues, and cash‑flow impacts.
- Identify cost‑saving strategies and revenue enhancement opportunities within healthcare services and recommend process improvements to optimize financial performance and cost efficiency.
- Serve as an educator and resource to department members, members of Enterprise Services, and other members of the hospital/practice as related to business processes, financial systems, and pertinent policies and procedures.
- Analyze reimbursement trends, denial rates, and payment outcomes for services, including specialty service lines.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to resolve billing issues and strengthen cash collection, including AR aging.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership, department heads, and board members.
- Meet with division leadership and providers as needed monthly to review productivity, associated revenue, and operating budgets. When issues or problems are identified, perform follow‑up as indicated.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years experience
